[00:10] Sensory deprivation is a great way to observe the layers of reality in itself so the floatation tank if you're unfamiliar is a light proof a soundproof box or container that holds you know there's only maybe about 10 inches of water in there and the water is saturated with epsom salts pretty much as it can be can hold until it wants to recrystallize out so the body lies on top of this water I mean you don't have to float all you do is you let go and the water supports you so the water and the air being heated to your skin temperature it's light proof its soundproof and the body starts to relax so it's a really interesting way because it works on you know the body starts to let go of stress it starts first on the physical unwinding stress unwinding tension and when the body gently starts to let go you start to

[01:11] Observe other layers of how they're all connected and you know some people would say that you know 80 or 90 percent of our consciousness our waking consciousness is spent monitoring gravity and the stimulus that's coming around us so if you apply that number and you put it in the tank and you turn all that information that's coming from your body inward to your consciousness you've got a lot more potential energy of consciousness to experience and experience the subtle realities of it you know the tank is wonderful it's gentle it gives you an environment but it doesn't do anything to you know meditation lucid dreaming and psychedelics it kind of operates in its own little space it kind of relates to all those things you know it's like meditation where you do have to apply yourself but it's like psychedelics that it's like it's sort of showing you the way and the space that most people naturally go to and they first start to get in the tank and once they get comfortable and they can allow themselves to go these states is much like a dreamlike

[02:12] State now if you get too comfortable most people will start to go down deeper hypnagogia oh I'm sleeping but since then the body is on water there's sort of the core survival mechanism keeps your keeps you awake so when people start to get comfortable the tank and this sometimes takes one session two sessions definitely by the third session fourth session if you're really deep in it whatever a hundred sessions down the road you develop a relationship with the tank because you're directing the experience and you're learning how to see where the nervous system naturally wants to go and what the conscious wants to do so it's one of the you know the most effective and gentle and legal ways people can alter their consciousness and have very connective experiences you know it's very common for people to have these visionary States come up and relive crocodile relive or reprocess memory or energetic imprints that is

[03:12] Sort of stuck so you know kind of my whole you know view and sort of template of you know change and development is that we you know we have we come from a society that has a real sort of top-down viewpoint and a lot of people think if they can think the correct way to be that they can think that reality into being but reality is a you know weird having a mental reality we have a spiritual reality we have an imaginal reality we have an emotional reality we have a physical reality you know we have a genetic reality so all these things are in play and the more your consciousness connects all those threads together the easier and more permanent and real those changes are so the float tank is really beautiful because it starts at the bottom starts at the body and it starts at that that space that we operate mostly in the physical banking world so it goes from there and it allows you kind of like connecting

[04:13] Those two poles you're allowing things to do what they want to do and that usually is valence that's the right one of the core themes of the tank is you can't you know since you're weightless your balance system is lit this is starting to be unimportant in that way and bounces the main sort of that theme that continues through that so the consciousness can really observe imbalances in one's life it shows you areas that are holding you from your true self you know because usually as our you know our consciousness and spirit always is it's wired to transcend itself so when anytime you give it a tool where it says hey sky's the limit go for it here's the keys to this you know the spirit car start the engine it's gonna want to go but usually you will go so far you know and in the tank this is nice because it's gentle subtle you go so far and either you come in

[05:15] Contact with whatever your immediate blockage is or you see it's like it's tethered to you so you kind of will be in there so I see it with people a lot of times they'll come in and they'll be like yeah I was ready you know there's these lights kind of come in and I started to feel like my body was spinning and then I realized I had to state a bunch of really junky fast food before I came in here and man that stuff is horrible for my body or you know oh man I just realized in the tank I constantly have to have four or five screens going at once in the radio happening and that when I'm by myself and quiet wow there's this whole other world happening so I think the challenge working with you know any of these modalities for self development and consciousness exploration and rebalancing you know to your true you know true self is it's you have to be open enough to come in contact with imbalances and you may not know what those imbalances are you know or you may not know what the immediate one is right

[06:16] In front of you maybe you want to quit smoking but it's possibly there's other things in your life that you should change first before you can even because you know the smoking is actually helping you get away from high stress areas you know maybe you need to slow down the stress so you don't need to rely on the smoking so it's an interesting thing too especially with the tank see you don't want to control it because if you go in there wanting to know or we think you know that you can what you want to get you may not come in contact with that this desire will Wells destroy it you know wanting to have an experience will destroy that experience you
